Some information provided during consultations and treatments may be special category data under UK data protection law because it relates to your health.

This may include information about medical history, medication, allergies, previous procedures, skin conditions or other health information that may be relevant to your treatment.

We use your information only where there is a lawful basis for doing so.

Legitimate interests – where using information is necessary for the legitimate operation and administration of Pearl Skin & Aesthetics, provided this does not override your rights.

Consent – where you have specifically given permission for a particular use of your information.

Where health information or other special category data is processed, an appropriate additional condition under UK GDPR will also apply.

6. Photographs and before-and-after images

Photographs may be taken before, during or after your treatment where they are useful for your treatment record, monitoring your progress or documenting your results.

Our Photo & Video Consent Form gives you separate choices about how your photographs may be used.

You can choose whether photographs are:

  • Used on Instagram or other social media

  • Used on the Pearl Skin & Aesthetics website

  • Used for marketing or promotional purposes.

You can also choose whether your face can be visible or whether you would prefer to remain anonymous.

Giving permission for a photograph to be taken does not automatically mean that you have given permission for it to be published or used for marketing.

These uses are separately identified on our consent form.

Where we rely on your consent for publication or promotional use, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect any processing that took place lawfully before consent was withdrawn.

7. Communication

We may communicate with clients using:

  • Email

  • Telephone

  • Instagram messaging.

These channels may be used to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, provide relevant information and communicate about treatments.

We will avoid requesting unnecessary sensitive information through social media and will only use information received through these channels where necessary for the relevant purpose.

8. Marketing

Pearl Skin & Aesthetics may occasionally send information about treatments, services, offers or other business updates.

Where consent is required, we will only send marketing communications where the appropriate consent has been obtained.

Marketing consent is separate from consent required to receive a treatment.

You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time by contacting us or using an unsubscribe option where one is provided.
